Everyone have had a very challenging problem and they even think of a creative way to solve it. For example, doing household chores could be a real problem with some people. However, for me, I encountered a pretty challenging problems recently and I am going to tell you how I used creative ideas to solve my problem.
My problem is distraction. Yes, distraction. Distraction is a very serious problem to me not only during lessons but during my co-curriculum activities or CCA. During lessons, I would normally get distracted by "clowns" in the class. For example, Justin would be creating lots of noise and troublein class. Teachers will normally get annoyed and tick him off which will be taking up precious time. He might even do something wierd that could get the whole class laughing. I find this type of behaviour nonsensical. The class might find it funny, but I fnd it stupid.
During my CCA, concert band, I would normally get distracted by people passing by, making wierd comments. As the band is quite strict, I would get pumped for getting distracted over small little things. I would get angry at myself for letting myself get distracted so easily. Sometimes, I might even curse myself for getting myself into this state.
During personal studying time, I would normally get distracted by people talking me. Being a talkative person, it made me want to join in the conversation. From five minutes to ten minutes to half an hour. Half an hour wasted just on talking. That half an hour could be used for revision or even doing my homework! It was only one of my friends told me that I was easily distracted that I realised that I needed a solution to this annoying problem.
One of the ways could be more focused and concentrated on what I am doing. This will need your mental strength. At the beginning, it might seem difficutlt. However, once you are used to it, you can basically concentrate on anything that you set your mind on. Another method is music. Calm, country music might be able to help you clear your mind and set it on the thing you want to do. You might want to consider Taylor Swift who is an absoutely wonderful female artist who specialises in country music. Songs like Breathe and Fifteen is reccommended.
Hence, I tried both methods. Focusing and music. I carried out this small test for a month, and guess what? It worked. Both methods worked tremendously well. Delighted by my small but essential discovery to solve my long irratating problem, I was rewarded by a huge 'A1' on my Mathematics examination! This problem is finally solved and I owed it all to mental strength and not forgetting, Taylor Swift.

Post n.o. 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I had told u before, I injured my right knee two posts ago. However, I have an update! Its injured again. You might be shock, terrified or even disgusted, but that is indeed the cold, hard truth.
It all started during Physical Education(PE) leeson. Register number twenty-one to fourty-one were to do high jump. This high jump event was part of the inter-house track and field meet. We did some warming up jumps and I managed to pass every single one of the warm ups. This made me a little satisfied. Soon, the things get serious. This time, it woud be recorded whether it is a pass or a fail. Whether u are able to get at least a point for your house starts now. After everyone gets three tries, only two failed to try to get a single point for their house. They were Prashant and Kenneth. I expexted better of Kenneth. Next, it was a height of 1.2metres. This time we only had two chances, which made matters more difficult. Many people were unable to clear this stage, including me. Well, I at least was able to contribute one point for my house. There will be more events and I hope to do better.
After finishing our turns, it was time to exchange roles with the other twenty people, who were playing floorball. Trying to make full use of the last fifteen minutes remaing of our destressing lesson, we made our teams and started the match. Parry and I scored two apiece. While the opposition had scored three goals. As I was challenging Wen Wei for the small little ball, we clashed with each other ad we both fell down. I injured the same part of my knee which was already quite severly injured. This time, the pain came slowly but it was alot more painful than the previous one. Sometimes, I wonder why there are so many selfish people in our class. Let me give you an example. After I fell and was injured, only Li Heng and Rui Shuen came to my "rescue". I was really grateful to them. However, Prashant, who knew I fell, only cared for the match instead of his injured friend! He even wanted a rematch! Furthermore, he even said I dived so as to obtain a foul. Nowadays, people cared more about games than their friends which made me rather dsgusted. I hope that I could see the better side of my class the next time my friend gets injured. This is a very serious matter. I knew that Prashant might even beat me after reading this post but this is just my personal point of view.
Hence, the lesson of the day is: HELP YOUR FRIEND WHEN THEY ARE IN TROUBLE OR NEED! DO NOT LEAVE THEM ALONE!

Post Number 3
Many people have had special times with their family. They might have a family outing, either overseas or local. I would like to share with you one of my favourite special times I had with my family.
It was 1st January 2010. It was New Year Day. Our family, together with my elder sister's boyfriend, planned a family outing. We planned to climb Mount Faber. Having climbed the small mountain before, I felt that it was not much of a challenge. I counted the steps while walking up. 180 steps! Walking from different facilities from the school to another was about the same! Half-way on our towards our second destination, we stopped for a small ice cream break. Our next destination was Henderson Waves. Henderson Waves was named due to the strucure of the place. It looked like waves crushing down onto the land. We took several photographs of the "waves" and not forgetting taking photographs of the whole family! We continued walking till we reached this place where there is a suspended bridge over a forest under us. Since none of us were scared of heights, we decided to continue with our journey. We learned about the origins of some plants. It was very educational for this part of the trip.
After finishing walking the suspended bridge, we continued to a place where farmers get their things for farming. We visited the glass house which was very much like a place for hydroponics but this is much colder. After the long walking and hiking, we decided to end our learning journey and have our lunch. We decided to take a cab to Vivo City to have our lunch.
An exciting day at Mount Faber helped us bond as a united and strong family. I hoped to have more of this type of outings so that our family and be as one. As long as we stay with each other, I believe that nothing can break us apart.

Post N.O. 2 (A Moment spent alone)
A moment spent alone. Many people have spent some alone time with themselves. However, I had a very special moment that I spent it alone and I would like to share it with all of you!
It was after school. I was taking a bus which I knew no one. I felt a little emotional as the whole bus was so crowded but I did not know anyone. Sitting with someone I did not know was a torture to me for my 1-hour bus ride home. The feeling inside me was wierd. It was a wierd feeling that I was unable to describe.
After reaching home, I saw the four walls of my house staring right at me. A house that was supposed to be filled with fun and laughter at night was an empty, quiet house in the afternoon. In addition of the hot weather, I felt rather drowsy and tired after a long day in school. Restraining the strong temptation to take a nap, I took a bath which made me quite refreshed! Taking the chance that I was stil awake, I quickly did all my homework and did some revision and assessments. One bath was needed to just keep me refreshed and awake to do revision and homework! This is certainly a discovery for me! What I thought was going to be a boring and totally alone day turned out to be a pretty exciting day! See you all in my next post! :)

Post Number 1.....
This week was a very unlucky week for me as a student. It was one of the unluckiest week ever in my 14-year old life! The unlucky week started on Monday. When I was playing soccer, I fell and scraped my knee. Blood was gushing out. However, I did not care as I was felling rather emotional that day. Only Parry and Jerry know why. They tried to offer me "counselling" which in the end made me felt worse. I felt worse when Jerry talks. However, Parry's advice were rather helpful and made me feel a little better. Parry and Jerry are really my good friends in class.
My unlucky Monday continued with Home Economics lesson. I screwed up on the stitching of cloth. However with the help of the teachers like Miss Hashima, I was able to master the art of stitching properly. You might think that this was nothing unlucky, but, you were WRONG! The reason was that the needle pricked my skin a number of times, which was indeed very, very painful.
Next lesson: Mother Tongue. The teacher was very unhappy with our performance as we did not study. I was very sad that the teacher did not cared for those who had studied very hard for the topic. I felt so unfair but i did not want to voice out how I felt as I knew that the teacher was very dissapointeed with most of us.
The final lesson of the day was Mathematics. It was already a very tiring day but we still have to use of tired minds to solve the brain-teasing questions which were draining our mind concentration.
It was finally the end of school when my friend, Oliver, told me that I had to finish four hours of individuals this week or else I had to face the severe consequences. Upon hearing the news, I covered my face with my hands in despair.
All that unluckiness was only in one day! Guess what happened to me today! Lets find out...
For PE lesson, we had to walk to the lagoon for our 800 metres event. this event was for the intra-school championship. To get at least a point to be added to the points, we had to run at most 3 min and 9secs. After running my guts out, I ran a timing of 3min 41sec. Not very satisfied with my timing, I walked back to school, trying to think of ways to improve my timing for my 800 metres event and my 2.4km jog for the NAPHA test.
After PE lesson was recess! Our class's favourite sport was soccer! Hence, we used our monitor's EZ link card to borrow a soccer ball. During the game, as I was fighting for the ball, I tripped over the defender's leg and fell. There was a deep cut there. As i look down, I saw part of my skin was attached to the floor. It was only seconds before the blood starts gushing out. Only Parry and Li Heng were there to help me. However, that MARVIN was continuing to play by himself. I wonder how selfish Marvin could get.
The wound was so deep that it used up quite a number of tissue papers to make sure it was dry. This injury to me kind of an emotional scar that would always be inside my memories. As I am typing now, I could still the slight stinging pain of the injury. Looks like I had typed quite a lot. See you in my next post then!

Practice Post
Waking up at 7.00a.m. on a Saturday was a serious torture for me. However, i had to wake up for my band practice. After washing up, i was ready to set off towards school. Thank goodnees my father was good enough to fetch me to school. reaching the grand school gates of Victoria School, i strolled in, enjoying the nice cooling breeze hitting me. As I walked the steps to the the third floor where the band room was, i could hear the familar sounds cominng from the many instruments of the band. Taking out my instrument from my case and washing my mouthpiece, i starting doing some warm-ups. when the clock strikes 9a.m., the Junior Leader shouted out into the noisy storeroom to call the band to fall in. As i was putting my instrument, i heard a loud sound from behind me. It was accidentally pushing the Section Leader's French Horn. Only marvin and I heard the sound. Marvin, being an irratating person was trying to blackmail Oliver. I decided to ignore him. As usual during band practices, our conductor, Mr Tan, was angry with us for not doing some parts of the piece well. We were all praticing for the Istana Performance. Even though it is still not confirmed, but we still had to practice. Only four Secondary Schools were allowed to the Istana once every four years. If everything goes well, we would be performing on the second day of Chinese New Year. I really hope that we would be able to play there as it would be a great honour to play there. Looks like I have to stop here now. See you in my next post! :)
